While I love a hearty breakfast I always scratch my head wondering what to make that is both nutritious & tasty. A few years ago I stumbled upon Tarla Dalal’s mini handbook called Healthy Breakfasts and my journey towards making yummy breakfasts has just become smoother. This recipe is a super hit in my home and everybody looks forward to having it.

@ Abs: You could skip the soya flour or substitute it with rice or jowar flour

What should be the batter consistency? Flowy like the other dosas or wattery like neer dosa. I added rice flour and little rava but could not get the dosas in shape…

      Hi,

The consistency would be that of dosa. Not too thin, not too thick. The addition of rava is not recommended unless you let the rava soak the liquid for at least 20 mins before you start frying. In this case the griddle/tawa should not be too hot either (if you add rava)
