Chocolate Fondue

Chocolate Fondue can be a treat at any party. Just serve it with any dipper of your choice!

Ingredients

For the fondue

  • 300 grams Chocolate (use your favourite brand)
  • 300 grams Fresh Cream
  • 1/2 - 3/4 th Cup Milk

Dippers/Accompaniments

  • Marshmallows
  • Potato Chips
  • Banana Slices
  • Sponge Cake
  • Streaky Bacon, fried to a crisp
  • Strawberries
  • Pretzels
  • Bread or rusk
  • Dry fruit like apricot or dates

Instructions

  • Break the chocolate into small pieces and place them in a heatproof bowl. 
  • Heat the cream in a heavy-based saucepan, bring it to a simmer and pour it over the chocolate in the bowl. Stir until all the chocolate has melted and you get a smooth mixture. 
  • Add the milk, a little at a time whilst whisking the chocolate mixture until you get the desired consistency.
  • Pour the chocolate mixture into the bowl of a fondue maker. Place skewers/toothpicks around and serve along with the dippers of your choice
