Easy and quick cooking oatmeal to kickstart your day in the most nutritious way

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup rolled oats * see notes
  • 1 teaspoon sugar or sweetener of choice
  • A light sprinkling of salt
To garnish:
  • Berries of your choice
  • Toasted almond flakes
  • Flax seed or toasted pumpkin seeds
  • Sliced bananas
  1. Place the milk, oats, sugar and salr in a heavy based saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and cook for 1-2 minutes till the oats is cooked and the porridge thickens. Remove from heat
  3. Serve hot or cool completely, refrigerate for 30-45 mins and serve chilled. Garnish with toppings of your choice before serving
